Micro-Business Makes Huge Impact (NFSD 19-972)

While the word “micro” may bring to mind something small, there’s no discounting the huge impact a micro-business can have. The effects are felt not only by those involved in the day-to-day operations of the business, but also by the community in which they live and beyond.

Your support of Novitas Foundation played an instrumental role in funding a livestock micro-business in a remote area of Kyrgyzstan. The market strategy of this Sustainable Development project allows for immediate revenue from cheese, cream, and milk sales, with continued income following additional livestock breeding.

Along with 100 bales of feed, Zamirbek’s family acquired a cow with her 4 week old calf, allowing the family to immediately utilize the production of milk (approximately 13 liters per day).
